The reality couple moved in together soon after they won the fourth series of the popular ITV2 show, taking their relationship to the next level in recent weeks by adopting a dog.
But Dyer, 22, confirmed the sad news that their relationship is over with an emotional post on her Instagram story on Thursday.
It read: “Jack & I have sadly decided to part ways. It’s been an incredible 6 months and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other but sadly, we have come to the realisation that it is not meant to be long term.
“We both plan to stay friends. I hope you’ll all understand. Love Dani x.”
According to reports, Dyer and Fincham called time on their relationship after “growing apart with their hectic work schedules”.
A source told The Sun Online: “When they left the villa they really thought they would stay together forever, but reality soon set in and things started to get strained.
“They came out to a whirlwind of publicity and after a while, things started to get to them and the cracks appeared.”
The insider added that they are both “incredibly busy” and have decided to end things.
The split has prompted many fans to take to social media and share their sadness.
Back in October, their romance was rumoured to be on the rocks after sources claimed they were “at each other’s necks”.
But a spokesperson for the couple dismissed the claims at the time, telling Standard Online: “We try not to pay too much attention to all the gossip. We’re just really happy at the moment and are enjoying spending so much time together filming our new show.”
The duo have been filming for their own reality miniseries together, alongside Dyer’s family including her dad Danny.
Standard Online has contacted representatives for Dyer and Fincham for further comment.
